A keen commenter and reader, Dan was one of the first regular commenters on here who always provided good feedback. To say thank you for his support, I reviewed the Shrek franchise for him in light of the new Puss in Boots movie.

What is your favourite film?
My favourite film is Donnie Darko - main reason being that I do not understand it, and I like that in a film, I also love The Butterfly Effect and Inception.

What is your least favourite film?
My least favourite film is a tough one, there are a few contenders, Rango as it is about nothing; 13 going on 30, this film was not needed, it is a female version of Big; Cable Guy - just simply isnt funny. But the winner is Hollow Man, they clearly confused invisible and invincible when making this film as a man whose only power was invisibility survived being set on fire, hit on the head with a crowbar, and being electrocuted whilst in a lot of water.

Who is your favourite actor/actress?
This is another toughy as depends on the type of film, I like Leonardo Di Caprio films generally speaking, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Brad Pitt. But if pushed for one has to be Will Ferrell, he simply always makes me laugh, his finest hour was Anchorman, probably my second favourite film that one.

What was the first film you remember seeing at the cinema?
Can’t remember my first I don’t think, I remember seeing Jurassic Park and Titanic with parents/siblings. But I remember my first trip without supervision, I went to see Toy Story with some mates, it was awesome!

What was the last film you saw?
Technically I have to say Moneyball as I saw that on the plane, it is about baseball and stars Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill. Despite having no interest in baseball and knowing next to nothing about it I thought it was a fantastic film. I also saw Limitless, Crazy Stupid Love and Puss in Boots and these were all great too.

What is your guilty pleasure film?
For me has to be Love Actually, just an all round great film that never fails to make me feel good.
