This blog was born mid-2011 out of the fact that in my day to day life, I didn’t write. I have a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and I felt like it was going to waste. After about a year of moaning, my other half convinced me to start moviewriting.co.uk with the help of his serious web skills.

The main thing I’ve learnt from doing this website is if a film contains one or more of the following actors/actresses, chances are  there will be something wrong with it:

  1. Nicholas Cage
  2. January Jones
  3. Liam Neeson

All reviews are based on trips to our local cinemas (Cineworld and the amazing Old Market Hall), LOVEFiLM rentals and anything else I happen to catch on TV.

I now also do a podcast called Movie Talking (see what we did there?) featuring myself, Rob (the guy with the serious web skills mentioned earlier) and Kieran (radio genius). Check out the podcast page here to hear what we sound like.

I’m the Entertainment Reviewer for Shropshirelive.com – reviewing cinematic releases, and theatre shows for Theatre Severn and the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, and general articles.

I’ve previously written for Cine Cite and Boolean Flix but I sadly no longer have time to write for them.

If you’d like to contact me, please send me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Please feel free to let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to cover, I’m always keen to discover new films. Like the rest of the world, I’m on Facebook and Twitter (for general tweets: @minitrue_ and more specific ones @movie_writing) so say hello!

If you would like to use any of my reviews, please contact me first. As flattered as I am by people using my articles, I prefer to be asked first.
