Dark Shadows Review
Although I'm always excited when a new Tim Burton film comes out, this is the second time I've been let down by a Depp/Bonham-Carter collaboration. Even Johnny and his superior character-acting ability isn't enough to save Dark Shadows: a film so confused it doesn't even know what genre it is
Weekend Review
Never one to favour the conventional, I love an indie film. And Andrew Haigh's Weekend is perhaps the most indie romance movie ever, which also happens to have the most endearing depiction of romance of all time between Glen and Russell.

Movie Talking: The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists
The tenth Movie Talking podcast has arrived! What better way to celebrate than to review Aardman's The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists (or The Pirates! Band of Misfits to some), together with some fondly regarded animations. Why not check out what Amy Moss, Kieran Prout and Rob Walker have to say about the new stop motion movie, and hear them discuss some of their favourites.
Tiny Furniture Review
If a film has an obscure title, an arty poster and an unknown cast; nine times out of ten I usually love it. However, Netflix has let me down in the past; will it redeem itself with Lena Dunham's Tiny Furniture?

American Pie: Reunion Review
The boys are back. Thirteen years after they first popped their cherries back in 1999, they're back to doing what they're good at (getting drunk, naked and stupid) in American Pie: Reunion. Is it as good as the first slice, or is this piece of pie just a little bit stale?

American Pie (Series) Review
Since 1999 the jokes have gotten cruder, the scenarios more ludicrous and the boobs more plastic. To prepare myself for the release of American Pie: Reunion, I took a look at the first three cinematic films (and the first straight-to-DVD spin off, unfortunately). Consequently, I've had the soundtrack on repeat in my head.
Silent House Review
The cinema is suffering from a post-Avengers Assemble lull; no film can really compare to the anticipation and hype until Prometheus comes out in June. Whilst we're waiting, it seems that we have to endure a few less impressive features to fill the gap and Silent House is one that fits this description perfectly.

Safe Review
It's with regret I have to retract my previous statement: Friday/Saturday night action films are capable of being just incredibly bad. Gone was awful, Lockout wasn't bad, and Safe is probably the most boring film I've seen at the cinema since The Devil Inside.
Happythankyoumoreplease Review
Andina, April's Fan of the Month, asked me to review Josh Radnor's Happythankyoumoreplease. His directorial debut is just as indie as it sounds, but also surprisingly heart warming.

The Summer blockbuster season starts here with Joss Whedon taking on the challenge of organising the superhero group The Avengers, hear what Amy Moss, Kieran Prout and Rob Walker have to say.
Salmon Fishing in the Yemen Review
Lasse Hallström returns to the big screen with his third book adaptation to date, but are Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt just as likeable as some of his other characters? No prizes for guessing what I think of McGregor, who can never do wrong
Avengers Assemble Review
Marvel's Avengers Assemble is the first of my most anticipated summer blockbusters to be released; it certainly doesn't disappoint. With Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America a-plenty, it has something for everyone. As always, a spoiler free review so you can experience the awesomeness for yourself at the cinema - now reviewed in 2D and 3D!
